(Yicai Global) Nov. 22 -- Mazda Motor Corp.'s Chinese joint venture, China FAW Group Corp., is recalling 206,570 Mazda 6 cars in China due to a faulty braking system.

These vehicles' brake-assisting vacuum hose valves may fail to open normally in freezing weather, thus vitiating the vehicles' braking assistance, which may pose safety risks, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said online yesterday.

The affected vehicles were manufactured between Nov. 1, 2012 and March 31, 2016.

FAW Group's subsidiary FAW Car Co. [SHE:000800] will carry out repairs by cleaning the vacuum booster joints on the recalled vehicles and replacing their vacuum hose assembly free of charge, the quality regulator said.
