(Yicai Global) Nov. 24 -- Chinese photo editing platform Meitu Inc. [HKG:1357] has unveiled the first artificial intelligent 'artist,' named Andy, which uses image reconstruction technology to modify selfies, online news outlet Kuai Keji reported.

Meitu plans to release Andy soon. The platform uses AI to convert uploaded selfies to look like illustrations and can modify them in a range of styles.

The image reconstruction technology used in the platform can also be applied to virtual drawing and used to test the appearance of makeup.
