(Yicai) March 20 -- Chinese lifestyle platform Meituan is reportedly launching an executive rotation at its in-store catering and takeout businesses.

Meituan's Vice President Wei Wei will be appointed head of its in-store catering division, the Beijing-based company said in an internal letter yesterday, The Paper reported on the same day. Meanwhile, Zhang Ruoyu and Xue Bing will be promoted to the positions of persons in charge of the firm's delivery fulfillment platform and takeout business division, respectively.

Meituan hired Wei nine years ago. He served as head of the channel distribution and delivery departments at the company's takeout business. Wei was appointed head of the delivery fulfillment platform in May 2018.

Zhang entered Meituan in February 2016. Since then, he has held various positions at the regional frontline and office functions of the takeout delivery business.

Xue joined Meituan in 2010 as a fresh graduate. Since then, Xue has worked in multiple key positions in the takeout and delivery business departments.

Meituan will pursue more internal talent growth opportunities, Chief Executive Officer Wang Xing said in the internal letter. In the next decade, a new team of executives will emerge, Wang added.

Wang reportedly announced a new organizational restructuring in an internal email on Feb. 2. Meituan would combine various divisions related to the core local commerce business while increasing the priority of businesses related to science, technology, and internationalization, he said.

This latest personnel adjustment is a follow-up move to the organizational restructuring Wang announced in February, The Paper noted in yesterday's report.
