(Yicai Global) Jan. 7 -- The dairy giant Mengniu Group, leading AI company 4Paradigm joined hands to hold an innovative technology competition recently.

Dubbed as Niukesong, the competition has a prize pool of CNY600,000 (USD94,200) for competitors who are able to leverage forefront technologies including AI, cloud computing and Internet of Things to offer innovative solutions in digitalization and intelligent transformation across industries.

"Although implementing AI technology has still faced many problems, digitalization is the foundation for the transformation and upgrading of companies. 4Paradigm could help more companies to better realize AI intelligent decision-making capabilities," said Pei Misi, president of 4Paradigm. 4Paradigm is a pioneer and leader in enterprise AI.

Traditional companies need to make more efforts to push forward the digital transformation. Speaking at the Finals Award Ceremony, Zhang Jue, Chief Data Officer of Mengniu Group said, "Many people think that the dairy industry is a typically traditional industry, but Mengniu now firmly seek to deepen digitalization and promote intelligent technological development in the industry."

Within just one month, the "Niukesong" competition attracted more than 1000 contestants from 320 teams. After strict selections, 21 teams stood out and made it into the final round. The champions of the new retail, smart ranch and health and wellness tracks were won by Hangzhou Yishi, Planet Data and WeDoctor respectively.

According to industry experts, commodities prices generally have climbed up in the past two years. But dramatic price fluctuations in the dairy industry are not allowed considering it is closely linked with people's livelihood. Mengniu's approach is to fully promote digital and intelligent transformation, to achieve overall cost control and efficiency improvement.

In the process of digital transformation, Mengniu has introduced companies such as 4Paradigm, the leading enterprise-level AI platform company in China, in the face of numerous transformation scenarios and business demand. Through the innovative tech competitions such as "Niukesong", individuals and organizations with technical background could be identified and introduced to help Mengniu solve the problem of technical talent shortage.
