(Yicai Global) Dec. 12 -- Mobike Technology will actively cooperate with German regulators handling an investigation into possible violations of European data laws by the Chinese bike-sharing giant, according to a statement.

The Beijing-based firm added that it has yet to receive contact from the regulator.

Authorities in Europe are able to impose fines on companies violating data rules equivalent to 4 percent of annual revenue or EUR20 million (USD22.8 million) since the EU General Data Protection Regulations came out at the turn of the year.
