(Yicai Global) Dec. 12 -- January to November saw the production of new-energy vehicles (NEV) hitting 639,000 in China, with annual growth up to 50 percent, while their sales hit 609,000, up 51 percent per year for an annualized rate far higher than overall vehicle manufacturing and sales, per statistics the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) outed yesterday.

 Vehicle production nudged 26 million, up 4 percent per year, also with sales of 26 million, likewise up 4 percent annually.

 Sales of pure electric vehicles touched 504,000 during this period, up 60 percent each year, with turnover of 532,000, or an annual rise of 57 percent.

 NEV sales hit 120,000 last month, up an annualized 83 percent, while production rose to 122,000 for a yearly rise of 70 percent. Petroleum-fueled vehicle production attained 3 million, up 2.3 percent annually for a new high, while their sales were 3 million, up 1 percent.
