(Yicai) Sept. 29 -- Troy Wang, president of Rolls-Royce China, will join Airbus as the European plane maker’s global senior vice president and head of its Chinese commercial aircraft business.

Wang will succeed Liu Li, who will retire at the end of this year, and take office starting Jan. 1, next year, Airbus announced today.

Wang was Rolls-Royce’s president for China and senior VP of the company’s civil aviation department, responsible for the commercial aviation engine customer business in China.

Moreover, he held other key positions, including chairman of Rolls-Royce China Investment and vice chairman of Beijing Aero Engine Services, the joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Air China.
