SAIC Breaks Ground at USD71.5 Million Fuel Cell Plant in Shanghai

(Yicai Global) March 17 -- Chinese car giant SAIC Group's subsidiary Hydrogen Propulsion Technology has started constructing a CNY500 million (USD71.5 million) factory in Shanghai to make fuel cell stacks for vehicles.
The Jiading district facility is expected to produce 12,000 sets of fuel cell stacks each year after completion in August 2021, Shanghai Observer reported.
