(Yicai) March 11 -- Shanghai Disney Resort has begun preparations to open a new attraction next to its Zootopia-themed land.

The new project is still in the preliminary planning stage, Shanghai Disneyland announced today, without revealing any further details.

Shanghai Disney Resort, which has more than 13 million visitors a year, has completed two expansions since its opening in June 2016. The first was a Disney Pixar Toy Story land in April 2018, and the second was the Zootopia land in December last year.

Last August, Shanghai Disneyland started the construction of a third themed hotel, which is expected to have 400 rooms. The foundation work for the hotel has already been completed.
