(Yicai Global) July 10 -- Guangdong Super Telecom and Hangzhou Hikrobotics will co-develop and achieve smart production of intelligent logistics equipment tailored to clients' needs.

Super Telecom signed an agreement with Hikrobotics yesterday, the Guangdong-based communications network service provider said in an announcement the same day.

Super Telecom's unit Guangdong Connectek IoT Tech will cooperate with Hikrobotics. The two parties will create first-class smart logistics end products and solutions by utilizing their respective strengths in the Internet of Things, smart data collection and specialized logistics robot production. The cooperation will promote the application of systems like automated guided vehicles, automated logistics, and smart storage logistics technology.

The two will propel the smart transformation of the customized logistics equipment production process to boost its efficiency and lower its costs, while furnishing clients with first-class systemized e-commerce logistics solutions, per the announcement.

Hikrobotics will take charge of producing related customized smart logistics equipment. Details of specific products and amounts will be nailed down in later cooperative contracts.

Super Telecom subsidiary Connectek engaged in earlier technological cooperation with e-commerce colossus JD.Com, public information shows. Connectek provided technical support to JD.Com in automated data collection, video tracking, and automatic measuring of volume and weight and logistics visualization in unmanned parcel sorting.

Hikrobotics is a developer and provider of mobile robots, robot vision products, and algorithm platforms, and is an affiliate of A-share listed company Hangzhou Hikvision, public data also shows.
