(Yicai Global) Nov. 17 -- Electric vehicle firm Tesla Motors Inc. [NASDAQ:TSLA] said yesterday on its Weibo account that it will unveil the world's largest supercharging station in Shanghai on Nov. 22.

Located at the Lilacs International Commercial Center in Shanghai's Pudong New District, the 24-hour facility is equipped with 50 superchargers capable of juicing up 50 electric vehicles at the same time.

The automaker showcased the Tesla Semi Truck today.

Tesla has set up more than 700 superchargers in China creating a network covering 170 Chinese cities, and it plans to bring that number to 1,000 next year, TechWeb reported previously.
