(Yicai Global) Nov. 11 -- Alibaba's business-to-consumer e-commerce platform Tmall facilitated sales of CNY100 billion (USD14.3 billion) worth of goods in just 64 minutes this morning after its Double 11 Shopping Festival got underway at midnight.
It reached the same feat in 107 minutes last year, after taking more than nine hours in 2017 and 18 hours the year prior. In 2015, gross merchandise volume never reached the milestone.
