(Yicai Global) Sept. 30 -- China Telecommunications and China United Network Communications Group started their respective fifth-generation wireless network communications service reservations today.
The nation's largest service provider China Mobile Communications began accepting its 5G service pre-sign-up last week.
Prospective 5G customers can discount their 5G service fees by as much as 30 percent, with an up to CNY600 (USD84) price cut for their 5G-compatible handsets, as well as up to 100 gigabytes in free data flow, per the announcements posted on the companies' respective websites. A China Unicom costumer who signs up for the service could thus get a 5G Phone for as low as CNY3,398 (USD477).
The firms did not specify the expected service date or the detailed amounts of their respective monthly service fees, however.
