(Yicai Global) Dec. 6 -- Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) logistics technology firm Antwork Network Technology Co. pooled tens of million yuan in its A-round of financing, which Sequoia Capital led.

Antwork has not disclosed additional details about the funding round, tech media outlet Leifang reported. The company said it will offer a service allowing consumers to arrange for deliveries on the social media app WeChat. Antwork hopes to set up more than 1,000 locations to receive packages in the coming year.

The Hangzhou-based drone company raised missions of yuan in its angel round in April last year.

Founded in 2015, Antwork aims to expand the drone delivery business in rural and urban areas. The company has worked with China Post Group Corp. and several express couriers, using UAVs for express shipping services in remote regions.
