(Yicai Global) Nov. 10 -- Shanghai's Pudong New Area takes the lead in promoting a high-level opening-up that roots in a wide range of sectors. Yicai Global took a trip to the city's Zhangjiang AI Robot Valley and Museum of Art Pudong to experience leading technology innovation and admire artworks and masterpieces amid the 4th CIIE.

Inaugurated last November, Zhangjiang AI Robot Valley has a 1,000-square-meter experience hall that showcases a variety of robots, including ABB Group’s collaborative robot Yumi, which can not only solve the Rubik’s cube, but also draw portraits. The Swiss industrial giant’s USD150 million super-factory is expected to start production at the valley in the first quarter of 2022, Yicai Global learned.

Zhangjiang AI Robot Valley will be at the forefront of the global robotics industry by achieving an overall output value of CNY70 billion (USD11 billion) by 2025, becoming the cradle of 150 core robotics firms.

Opened in July, the Museum of Art Pudong was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. Located next to the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, the MAP has become the newest landmark for Shanghai.

The museum has attracted both art lovers and families thanks also to the works featured by UK art museum Tate and Chinese firework artist Cai Guoqiang. One of the MAP’s most photographed spot is the mirror hall, equipped with high-reflective light-emitting diode screens that can reflect the view of Shanghai’s Huangpu River.
