Will the Number of People That Depend on Mobile Networks Continue to Rise Worldwide? Will the Number of People That Depend on Mobile Networks Continue to Rise Worldwide?

Yes. Some 20 percent of the world's internet users completely relied on mobile networks last year and the percentage will continue to rise this year, as more and more people will have access to mobile networks, including the fourth and fifth generation networking, with service charges becoming cheaper and cheaper.

Between October 2018 and 2025, there will be 1.6 billion new mobile internet users worldwide, with half of them from heavily populated nations like China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria and Pakistan, according to a report from the think tank under the Groupe Speciale Mobile Association. Most of the users are expected to skip fixed-line broadband and hop straight onto mobile networks.
