(Yicai) March 15 -- Yicai Media Group, a financial news outlet under Shanghai Media Group, is teaming up with Huawei Technologies to develop a financial media application that is native to the Chinese tech giant’s Harmony operating system as Huawei moves to introduce an independent HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Yicai and Shenzhen-based Huawei held a kickoff ceremony for the development of a HarmonyOS native app for financial media in Shanghai today.
Yicai, which has developed over 10 media and financial technology systems in recent years, will join forces with Huawei to explore more technological innovations and application scenarios, it said. This will provide HarmonyOS users with smoother, more efficient, and safer news and information services on a wide variety of terminals, including mobile phones, tablets, in-car devices and smart screens, it said.
The tie-up is a further step in Yicai’s commitment to providing the best level of service. The company has already completed the deployment, integration and pre-training of its own artificial intelligence models based on domestic and international open-source technology architecture and financial data characteristics that can realize the selection and accurate dissemination of content.
Thousands of Chinese companies in sectors ranging from tourism to government affairs have joined the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Shanghai Radio and Television Station, which is also under SMG, teamed up with Huawei in February last year to become the first provincial-level TV station to promote the HarmonyOS native app.
