China's retail sales of social consumer goods rose 1.4% to CNY20.6 trillion (USD3.05 trillion) in the first five months from a year ago, according to data released by the NBS today. In May, the figure fell 0.6% to CNY4.1 trillion (USD608 billion) from a year earlier.
