ByteDance's Feishu Updates OpenClaw-Style AI Agent(Yicai) March 20 -- Feishu, the work collaboration platform of TikTok's owner ByteDance, has updated its artificial intelligence agent, which it claims has similar capabilities to those of viral open-source tool OpenClaw but tailored to enterprise scenarios.
Feishu Aily's users can have an exclusive AI agent that understands their business scenarios with just a click of a button, Feishu said yesterday. The tool is deeply integrated into the platform's workflow and can automatically complete various tasks related to daily reports, message tracking, and data reporting, the company said yesterday.
Feishu released the Feishu Aily agent last September, describing it as "an organization-level intelligent agent development platform powered by large language models." After the latest update, the tool can accumulate work memory, understand the business and communication preferences of users, and install officially certified professional skills if necessary to continuously evolve its capabilities.
Feishu hopes to enable everyone to have their own intelligent work partner this year, said Chief Executive Xie Xin.
Security is another highlight of Feishu Aily, the platform noted. The permission system is strictly consistent with users, the entire operation process is traceable, and sensitive operations require manual confirmation to ensure the security and reliability of enterprise data.
Created by Austrian programmer Peter Steinberger, OpenClaw has rapidly gained popularity among developers and enterprise users in China over the past month. Many Chinese internet companies have launched similar AI agents, mainly focusing on lowering deployment thresholds, adapting to the Chinese ecosystem, and strengthening local security and privacy protection.
For example, Tencent Holdings' WorkBuddy supports one-click connection between super app WeChat and automated tasks, while Baidu's DuClaw requires no deployment, no Application Programming Interface Key configuration, and can be used through a web page, integrating with Baidu Search.
