(Yicai Global) Oct. 19 -- China's surveyed urban unemployment rate was 5.4 percent last month in an improvement from August’s 5.6 percent tally, according to data the National Bureau of Statistics published today.
Some 8.98 million new jobs were created in cities and towns during the first nine months, the NBS said.
The ranks of migrant workers totaled 180 million as of the end of September, 3.84 million fewer than the same time last year.
