(Yicai Global) Jan. 14 -- China created 13.5 million new urban jobs in 2019, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
The number was slightly lower than 2018's record 13.61 million, the ministry said today.
The urban registered unemployment rate dropped to 3.62 percent last year from 3.8 percent as nearly 5.5 million laid-off workers got re-employed and 1.8 million people struggling to find a job got hired, it added.
