(Yicai Global) Oct.27 -- The benchmark indexes of China's mainland stock markets turned positive after a mixed opening, as medical and pharmaceutical shares rose and securities firms decreased.

The Star 50 Index, which tracks tech stocks on Shanghai’s Nasdaq-style Star Market, started the day 0.23 percent higher at 1,359.18, while the Shenzhen market’s growth enterprise ChiNext Price Index gained 0.04 percent to 2,618.7.

The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.32 percent at 3,240.74 at the open, while the Shenzhen Component Index stood at 13,159.37 in a 0.24 percent slide.

Charging pile makers returned yesterday's gains and led losses by decreases averaging 2 percent.

No end is in sight to the current volatility, according to analysts with Central China Securities.
