(Yicai Global) May 23 -- China Southern Airlines, the biggest air carrier in the country, will begin code sharing with Finnair next month to cover China-Europe flights and domestic trips in the world's second-largest economy.

Ticket sales for the new flights have been on sale since May 21, the company said in a statement that day. The partnership marks China Southern's first foray into the Nordic region.

China Southern will add its code to the Finnish carrier's Guangzhou-Helsinki flights and to transfers in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, Paris, Stockholm and other European cities. Finnair will add its code to domestic flights from Guangzhou to several Chinese cities, including Chongqing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Sanya and Changsha.
