(Yicai Global) May 24 -- China's three benchmark stock indexes opened mixed before slightly climbing, while environmental and nonferrous metal stocks led the gains at 1.46 percent and 1.15 percent, respectively.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.16 percent lower at 2,848 points and moved 0.33 percent higher as of at 10.00 a.m.
The Shenzhen Composite Index started 0.24 percent lower at 8,788 and climbed 0.15 percent within 30 minutes.
The ChiNext, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, opened 0.05 percent higher at 1,452 and expanded gains to 0.44 percent within 30 minutes.
