(Yicai Global) Oct. 9 -- Dawning Information Industry Co. [SHA:603019] and CAS Quantumnet Co. have jointly developed China's first quantum communication crypto cloud server to solve the problem of data communication security, official Xinhua News Agency reported.

The server features a quantum communication-based key management system, a secure operating platform and a quantum communication-based cloud computing operating system that provide cloud computing operating systems and cloud storage service platforms featuring quantum private communication, while offering cloud service solutions with China-owned intellectual property ranging from hardware to applications for scenarios involving quantum private communication.

"One traditional computer takes 150,000 years to factorize a large number, but a quantum computer can do it in just one second," said Cao Zhennan, vice president of Dawning Information Industry. "In the face of the shocks from quantum computing, China needs to develop its own 'unconditionally safe' quantum communication industry as quickly as possible."

China is a world leader in the field of quantum communication technology and has made several major, innovative technological achievements internationally. Chinese businesses have also actively invested to develop core technologies, produce key components, deploy and apply networks and accumulate intellectual property rights. Research teams and companies affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences like CAS Quantumnet and Dawning Information Industry have become key players.
