(Yicai Global) Sept. 19 -- China shipped almost 23.1 million wearable devices in the second quarter, some 34.3 percent more than the same period a year earlier, according to a report from market intelligence provider IDC.

Sales of devices compatible with only one mobile app were up 31.9 percent at nearly 18.5 million, while those able to synchronize with multiple programs surged 45 percent to 4.6 million.
