(Yicai) Aug. 4 -- The China Guangzhou Cross-Border E-Commerce Fair later this month will have new special artificial intelligence technology, overseas social media, and compliance zones.
Leading AI tech providers will be gathered at the new zone during the CCEF from Aug. 15 to 17, Liu Feina, executive president and secretary-general of the Guangdong E-Commerce Association, said at a recent press conference hosted by the Chinese province's commerce department.
They will offer cutting-edge tools to enhance cross-border sellers' business efficiency, including process automation, consumer insights, smart website building and operation, intelligent customer services, and others, Liu pointed out.
TikTok Shop, Kwai, the foreign version of Chinese short-video platform Kuaishou, YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, Facebook, Guangdong Advertising Group, Tec-Do 2.0, and others were invited to join the overseas social media zone, Liu noted.
Chinese and global social media companies will hopefully be able to help cross-border e-commerce firms build and improve their overseas brand image, tell good brand stories, and efficiently reach target users, according to Liu.
The compliance zone will feature professional services institutions that provide legal, testing, certification, and other services to Chinese companies going global, helping them strengthen their risk prevention strategies, Liu said.
In addition, the CCEF has drawn leading e-commerce sites such as Amazon, Shein, Temu, Walmart, and AliExpress, Liu noted, adding that some 40 platforms mainly serving regional and emerging markets have also been invited, including Mercado Libre and JoomPro for Latin America, Jumia and Kikuu for Africa, Wildberries and Ozon for Russia, Onbuy and B&Q for the United Kingdom, Shopee and Lazada for Southeast Asia, Germany's Otto, France's Rakuten, Poland's Allegro, Eastern Europe's eMag, and Türkiye's Hepsiburada.
More than 1,000 high-quality supply chain companies and nearly 200 ecological chain service providers will also participate in this year's CCEF. The event will have over 1,800 standard booths and more than 30 industry forums.
