(Yicai Global) May 14 -- Chinese mainland stock markets have extended their declines from the morning till the close, with Shanghai's free trade zone as well as oil firms leading the group of losers.

The Shanghai Composite Index decreased 0.7 percent to 287.283, with a turnover of CNY201.2 billion (USD29 billion). The Shenzhen Component index fell 0.7 percent to 8,998.97, logging a trading volume of CNY254.3 billion. The ChiNext Index slid 0.6 percent to 1,492.90, with a turnover of CNY75.6 billion.

The fields of telecoms and precious metals, as well as pork producers bucked the downward trend.
