Chinese Medical Firm's French Subsidiary Suspends Plans to List in Hong Kong(Yicai Global) July 26 -- Inner Mongolia Furui Medical Science Co.'s [SHE:300049] French subsidiary, Echosens SAS, decided on July 25 to again suspended its plans to go public, which have been underway for quite some time.
The board does not believe now is the best time to go public in Hong Kong, the firm said in a statement yesterday. It decided to postpone the flotation pending authorization at a shareholders meeting.
Echosens, which provides medicines and devices for liver disease, attributed the suspension to "changes in the global capital market," and said it will arrange new plans in line with company development and global market conditions.
The firm primarily makes FibroScan branded non-invasive medical instruments for chronic liver diseases, including blood examination and analysis tools and data management software solutions.
After Furui purchased the company in 2011, it reached a preliminary agreement with upper management to "help it list in three to five years." However, its endeavors to go public overseas in 2013 and 2014 both failed. It submitted its application to list in Hong Kong in July 2016.
