Coal, Oil Stocks Lead Losers as Chinese Mainland Stock Markets Open Down

(Yicai Global) April 22 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland opened lower this morning with coal and oil firms among the biggest losers and agricultural companies topping gainers.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.46 percent lower at 2,814.07, while the Shenzhen Component Index started down 0.78 percent at 10,424.45. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, started the day 0.9 percent weaker at 2,005.65.
