Delta Becomes First US Airline to Resume China Flights(Yicai Global) June 22 -- Delta Air Lines will be the first US carrier to resume flights to China since they were grounded in February due to Covid-19.
Delta will reopen its Seattle-Shanghai Pudong route on June 25 on a twice weekly basis, The Paper reported today. The route, which flies via Incheon Airport in Seoul, operates Delta’s flagship Airbus A350.
To reduce the potential risk of spreading Covid-19, Delta will limit ticket sales of its Delta One suite on international flights to 75 percent of potential occupancy, and premium economy and economy class to 60 percent.
The carrier will also resume its Detroit-Shanghai route next month, which also stops in Seoul, the report added.
