(Yicai Global) April 25 -- Chinese media and entertainment group China Media Capital and renowned US documentary media firm Discovery will join hands to set up a theme park in China.
The pair has signed a memorandum on developing digital education products for science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the country, state-backed outlet The Paper reported.
CMC and Discovery will jointly seek opportunities to develop, build and run Discovery-related products in offline entertainment in China and explore cooperation on building and running the theme park, which includes an indoor experience center aimed at teenagers.
The two parties will provide a full range of non-course educational and entertainment tools with subscription-based products designed for children between two and five years old and their families. The products will include digital content on various formats including video, educational articles, experimental kits, toys and other consumer products.
CMC is a leading integrated media and entertainment group in China, focusing on developing leading content resources. It owns film and television, animation, game, fund and cultural real estate companies.
