(Yicai Global) Jan. 11 -- Amsterdam, Netherlands-based baby feeding products maker Umee has exclusively licensed Jinfa Labi Maternity & Baby Articles to promote and sell its products in the Chinese market.

The Shantou, Guangdong province-based company signed a cooperation deal with Umee's owner Tainan, Taiwan-headquartered Right View on Jan. 7, the well-known Chinese supplier of maternal and infant consumer goods announced on Jan. 9.

Umee's baby feeding products embody unique technologies, with the production technology for anti-flatulence feeding bottles leading the world. 

Jinfa is exclusively authorized to use the Umee trademark and its patents and sell Umee products in China, per the announcement, which added the company also has the right to determine their pricing in the Chinese market but disclosed no financial details of this licensing.

Jinfa will take charge of brand promotion, sales and after-sales services of the whole series of Umee products in the Chinese market on this basis, the announcement stated.

The parties also plan to invest in and set up a joint venture in addition to their cooperation, and endow the JV with Umee trademarks, patents and other intellectual property to expand product sales in China and tap other undeveloped markets around the world, the announcement added.

The cooperation will not only enrich the assortment of infant products the company sells, but also enable its research and development team to better learn and absorb advanced product design concepts and novel information via cooperation and communication with the brand owner.
