(Yicai Global) May 20 -- Ferrari's Chinese dealership will rescind over 2,000 cars that have been imported from the US to China, after finding out that these vehicles' airbags pose security risks.
Ferrari Maserati Cars International Trading will take back some of its California T, FF, 458, F12berlinetta, F12tdf, 812 Superfast, GTC4Lusso, GTC4Lusso T, 488 GTB and 488 Spider vehicles that were made from April 8, 2013, to Nov. 28, 2017, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement. The Shanghai-headquartered dealership will start taking in these cars on July 1.
When the vehicle's airbags eject, the ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant, produced by Japan's Takada, may burst apart and harm passengers, the statement added.
