(Yicai Global) Feb. 27 -- The joint venture between state-owned carmaker Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. and Honda Motor Company has recalled more than 370,000 cars in China due to faulty airbags, authorities said.

Guangqi Honda Automobile Co. has decided to recall 373,371 cars covering Accord, Crosstour, Fit, City and Linan S1 models made in China, the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision said.

The cars' passenger seat airbags, supplied by Takata Corp., lack a drying agent for ammonium nitrate inflators, which could lead to ruptures when engaged. Guangqi Honda will replace the front passenger airbag inflators on the cars to eliminate any safety risks.
