(Yicai Global) May 23 -- Half of the more than 15.2 million babies born in China last year were the second child in their family, according to data published by the National Health Commission.
China ceased its one-child policy in October 2015 and created a two-child policy, which allows Chinese couples to have two children in an attempt to address the country's aging population, which could create a gaping hole in the workforce in the years to come.
