(Yicai Global) Oct. 23 -- Chinese tech and telecoms equipment giant Huawei Technologies announced the release date for its first 5G folding smartphone, the Mate X, today.

The phone will go on sale at 10.08 a.m. on Nov. 15 priced at CNY16,999 (USD2,400), Securities Times reported, adding that the handset is the first of its kind available in China. The device is dual-SIM, dual standby and folds out to an eight-inch tablet from a 6.6-inch phone.
