(Yicai Global) May 15 -- The consumer business group of China's biggest smartphone maker Huawei Technologies Co. has inked a deal with Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) to improve the experience of Chinese visitors to the emirate through the use of its overseas services app SkyTone.

The cooperation will allow Huawei users access to high-speed internet, as well as hotel booking and car rental services, online news outlet TechWeb reported. Users will also be able to receive customized travel recommendations, discounts, and one-stop travel services from DTCM through the app, Huawei Browser and Huawei Smart Assistant.

More and more Chinese tourists are attracted by Dubai's fast and convenient internet access, said DTCM Chief Executive Issam Kazim, adding that it will leverage Huawei's devices and services to provide convenient travel experiences for Chinese tourists.

Some 15.79 million tourists visited Dubai last year, hitting a new high, of which the number of Chinese tourists surged 41 percent annually to 764,000, DTCM data shows.
