(Yicai Global) Aug. 29 -- Chinese chemical manufacturer Jiangsu Kuangshun Photosensitivity New-Material Stock Co. [SHE:300537] plans to build a production base for new eco-friendly materials and high-end electronic chemicals in Zhuhai in China's southeastern commercial hothouse of Guangdong province, with total investment of up to USD126 million.

The company will buy a 100,000 square-meter plot in the Zhuhai Gaolan Port Economic Zone using USD5 million of its own funds. It will also invest up to USD121 million in the next four years to plan and construct a production base for resin, printing ink and coatings, of which the annual yield is expected to hit 36,000 tons, it said yesterday.

The construction of this base is conducive to this company's strategic matrix in the Pearl River Delta. The market is overwhelmed by growing demand for new eco-friendly materials and high-end electronic chemicals, and this new base will improve the company's production capacity and the ability to develop new products, it said.

The firm mainly deals in the research and development and production of high-tech photosensitive materials with new-type printing ink as its main product. The printing ink used for printed circuit boards the company produces is equal to the world's advanced level, and its clientele compromises many tech companies like Foxconn Technology Group [TW:2354], a manufacturer of iPhone components.

Zhuhai Gaolan Port Economic Zone, which offers the largest berths for chemical and bulk cargoes in the Pearl River Delta, stands as a vital hub on the South China coast.
