(Yicai Global) Jan. 24 -- Touch screen product manufacturer Lens Technology Co. said today that it will not suspend production next month after investors asked the company about rumors that unexpectedly low iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X sales might push some Apple Inc. suppliers to take off extra days in February.

Affected by seasonal trends, orders for iPhone parts have been 15 percent to 30 percent lower than predicted this quarter, and iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus sales have not been as strong as anticipated since the fourth quarter of last year, Taiwan-based media outlet Digitimes reported last week.

Apple may halt production of the iPhone X as early as this summer, the DailyMail reported on Jan. 22.

Lens Technology, a major Apple supplier specializes in making protective glass touch panels. It provides processing service for Corning Gorilla Glass, which many electronics use.

Lens Technology estimated its net profit was between CNY2.05 billion (USD320.8 million) and CNY2.35 billion last year, marking an annual increase of 70 percent to 90 percent.
