(Yicai Global) Dec. 19 -- Chinese smartphone maker Oppo, one of the world's largest, plans to release its new Reno 3 Pro 5G handset on Dec. 26, Vice President Duan Yaohui said today.

The device will be the first in the world equipped with Qualcomm's dual-mode fifth-generation networking chip, he added, saying Oppo now has more than 2,500 of its own 5G patents.
