Shanghai's Baby Covid-19 Patient Recovers Under Care of Over 30 'Mamas' Shanghai's Baby Covid-19 Patient Recovers Under Care of Over 30 'Mamas'

(Yicai Global) Feb. 21 -- Shanghai's youngest coronavirus sufferer, a seven and a half month-old tot named Qiqi, left hospital yesterday, fully recovered after 17 days' treatment.

Qiqi got the infection, along with her other family members, from a relative visiting from Wuhan, the center of the virus' outbreak. Qiqi started developing a cough and runny nose, but without fever symptoms at the start of this month, and was rushed to the hospital for an examination, where she tested positive, whereupon the tyke was immediately placed in isolation for observation and treatment.

Mummy holds little Qiqi as they leave the isolation ward building.

As Qiqi is so young, and none of her family members can accompany and care for her, medical staff look after her 24/7 in rotating shifts as she is isolated.

Feeding her baby formula, changing diapers, rocking here to sleep, playing with her, medical staff in the sealed ward become her impromptu mamas.

Qiqi comes to look on all those garbed in scrubs and protective gear as her second mummies.

The hospital head gives Qiqi a Mickey Mouse plush doll as she leaves his care.
