(Yicai Global) May 16 -- Shanghai Chuangli Group Co. will cooperate with two automotive parts makers to develop a heavy-duty electric truck adapted to the coal industry.

Its wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai Chuangli New Energy Automobile Co. signed an agreement yesterday with Anhui Hualing Automobile Co. and Nanjing Hengtian Leading Automobile Co., the Shanghai-based high-end coal machinery equipment supplier announced the same day.

It will take charge of the market research and promotion of this electric heavy truck, and the three have together determined product specifications and technical solutions. Anhui Hualing Automobile will be responsible for production, while Nanjing Hengtian Leading Automobile is tasked with selecting and calculating the vehicle's electric system, per the announcement.

The cooperation will leverage the market advantages of the company's main business of coal mining equipment and push the use of electric heavy trucks in the sector, the announcement stated.
