(Yicai Global) May 13 -- Shanghai has ranked first on the list of 100 Chinese cities regarding the ease of doing business, followed by Beijing and Shenzhen, according to the 2019 China City Business Environment Index Evaluation Report, released by Yicai Global's affiliate Yicai Research Institute and its partners.

The report puts more weight on factors such as finance, talent, technology and innovation, as well as culture than "hard factors" including the climate or air quality.
