(Yicai Global) July 26 -- China's northern city of Tianjin will hold the 2017 China Tourism Industries Exposition at the beginning of September this year, featuring new exhibition areas for international tourism destinations involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

This year's exposition will be divided into several themed exhibition areas which will feature core features of tourism products and services in countries involved in the Belt and Road, Cnr.cn reported. The countries include Pakistan, India and Nepal.

The event will also include areas for cruises, yachts, and recreation vehicle parks and products related to the integrated development of tourism and industries.

Other events at the exposition include the China Tourism + Sport Summit and the Summit for the Development of Characteristic Tourism Towns. Forums at CTIE will also discuss the development of industries related to tourism.

The China National Tourism Administration Board and the Tianjin municipal government have sponsored the annual CTIE since 2009, with over 1.3 million visitors attending and business deals totaling CNY15 billion (USD2.222 billion) being signed on over 1,100 projects, official event materials show.
