(Yicai Global) Nov. 9 -- TikTok and its Chinese version Douyin topped the global revenue rankings for non-gaming mobile apps in the App Store and Google Play last month.
The popular short-video sharing apps, both owned by Beijing-based ByteDance Technologies, raked in over USD115 million in October, according to figures released today by Sensor Tower. That was an increase of 6.2 times from a year earlier.
YouTube came in second place with more than USD94 million in revenue, an increase of 58 percent. The others in the top five were Tinder, Tencent Video and Disney+.
