(Yicai Global) May 22 -- Smartphone maker Xiaomi Inc.'s Hong Kong-unit has teamed up with a Tianjin-based healthcare tech brand and opened iHealth store in Paris, France, marking the Beijing-based firm's first authorized store entry in Europe.

Xiaomi HK Ltd. and Andon Health Co. opened the store in Chatelet district in downtown Paris to sell Xiaomi products, said the healthcare electronics maker in a statement.

Andon Health will leverage Xiaomi's technologies to accumulate experience in the market, and the newly opened store will have a positive impact on the Tianjin firm's operating performance, added the statement. If the market response is good, Andon Health will further expand its retail business, with an initial target of opening five authorized Xiaomi stores in Paris this year.

Xiaomi Inc. focuses on the research and development of smart hardware and electronic products, and the firm has submitted an application to go public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Industry insiders estimate that its value could reach USD100 billion after the upcoming flotation.

Andon Health makes healthcare products, such as blood pressure monitors, pregnancy tests and thermometers, for original equipment manufacturers and original design manufacturers worldwide.
