House Prices in China's First-Tier Cities Remain Stable in May

(Yicai Global) June 18 -- The prices of new homes in China's four largest cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, rose by 0.3 percent monthly in May, down 0.3 percentage point on growth in April. Second-hand home prices rose by 0.1 percent, down 0.3 percentage point from April, according to official data.

In May, the prices of new homes in the four cities rose by 4.7 percent annually, the same as last month while the price of second-hand houses rose by 0.3 percent, down 0.5 percentage point from the previous month.
