(Yicai Global) Nov. 7 -- Apple removed singer-songwriter Kris Wu's new album 'Antares' from the North American iTunes store today, despite seven of the 13 songs from the album making it to the Top 10.

Kris Wu released his new album on Nov. 5, and topped the iTunes chart in the United States. Three songs November 'Rain,' 'Antares' and 'Selfish' edged out Lady Gaga's 'Shallow' and Ariana Grande's 'Thank You, Next' to rank in the top three, prompting Twitter's American users to ask: who is Kris Wu?

There were rumors that Scooter Braun, Ariana Grande's manager, had accused Wu of using bots and said that he would ask iTunes to probe it. Braun later released a statement denying that he had accused Wu of using bots.

Wu's fans are understandably angry with Apple. They believe that the iTunes chart is based on sales, and Apple had no evidence that Wu manipulated the chart, grossly underestimating the number of fans he has in China.
