(Yicai Global) May 30 -- US audio-equipment maker Bose has charged three Chinese headset makers with violating its patents.

Pursuant to Section 337 of the US Tariff Act of 1930, the Massachusetts-based company filed a probe request with the US International Trade Commission regarding earpieces and components made by Misodiko, Phonete, and TomRich, China's commerce ministry said on its website.

Known for its high-end headphones, Bose asked the commission to issue a general exclusion order and an injunction on the Shenzhen-based companies to protect its intellectual property.
